Barcelona is, arguably, the most avant-garde city in Spain and one of the most touristic destinations of the Iberian Peninsula. A modern, fresh faced town, in Barcelona the group is housed right in the heart of the city, walking distance from Las Ramblas, the Gothic quarter and the new Ensanche district.

Mandatory visits include a comprehensive tour of the old city, where students can get an overview of the vast history of Catalonia; a visit of the Sagrada Familia, the emblematic church designed by Gaudí that is still under construction, an exciting scavenger hunt at wonderful Güell Park and a day trip to the fascinating Dalí Museum in Figueres, designed by the surrealist artist himself and where his tomb can be found.

Several optional activities are offered, including the return to Valencia stopping at Peñíscola, a small beach town that flaunts its Templar castle over the Mediterranean Sea, one of the only three cities where a pope has resided.
